Calcium magnesium phytate is white or white powder, odorless, tasteless, insoluble in water, insoluble in anhydrous ethanol, ethyl ether, benzene, chloroform and other organic solvents, easily soluble in inorganic acid.
Application
Phytin is used in the pharmaceutical industry to produce inositol, which has a wide range of medicinal uses (see Uses of inositol).
In the fermentation industry, it can replace phosphate as the breeding agent of alcohol yeast culture, so that the ethanol component increases, and the taste becomes more aromatic alcohol.
